  31. WHAT IT DOES
  32. ============

  34. SuperStruct is a binary file translator.  It converts binary files to 
  35. readable ascii text files (leaving original intact).  To convert a binary file,
  36. write the structure of the binary file in SuperStruct's editor, then activate
  37. the menu option File-Convert to choose the binary file(s) to convert.
  38. Then view the results in SuperStruct's editor.  SuperStruct can be run as
  39. a Ole Server.  For example, you can embed a SuperStruct object in a word
  40. processor document or picture.

  42. You can convert more than one binary file at a time.  Some examples of using
  43. SuperStruct would be:
  44.  
  45.    1. converting tiff or bmp files to ascii files so you can read the bitmap header
  46.       information. 
  47.  
  48.    2. converting wav or riff files to ascii to view recording speed, number of
  49.       channels, etc.
  50.  
  51.    3. converting your proprietary binary files to ascii to verify information
  52.  
  53.    4. MOST OF ALL: to convert your proprietary binary files to ascii in the
  54.       testing of your software to verify integrity of your binary structures
  55.
